6 days ’til I’m not post dating this blog.

I’ve been busy, you guys. Like, I’m trying this exercise thing out and doing things away from my computer because I spend a whole hell of a lot of time with it at work. And I work a lot. Because I love it. But, I also love music and that is why I am backdating this post and filling it with folkish-rockish acts I’m looking forward to at 35 Denton. You know you love a good tune with a banjo in it every once in a while, too.

7 days ’til you get a little digital, digital.

You have to sing the title of this post to the tune of Olivia Newton-John’s “Let’s Get Physical.” Anyway, so I see a few of you discovered the 35 Denton schedules I’ve put together which aren’t the prettiest but should help you figure where exactly you should be next week. NEXT WEEK! The schedules are somewhat mobile friendly so you should bookmark it in your space phone if you’re into that sort of thing. Technology is fancy. Also, technology rings heavy in today’s bands. Check ‘em out if you like instruments that need to be plugged in. You know you do.

8 days ’til you notice recurring characters.

Ryan Thomas Becker. Petra Kelly. Jeremy Buller.

When some people have free time, they watch TV, get lost in the internet or take naps. Not these guys. Nope, when they get bored, they form bands. I can’t imagine what 35 Denton‘s programming team has to go through to make sure their shows don’t overlap but they do it every year. I’ve lost count of all the bands these musicians are in but here are a few. Check them out at the festival. It’s basically harder not to see them than to see them, you know. Probability and math and stuff.

10 days ’til some of you travel north by 35.

See what I did there? In case you aren’t familiar with 35 Denton trivia, the festival was actually started many years ago as a day party called NX35 at SXSW. It morphed into its own fest, changed its name to 35 Conferette and has now emerged as the beautiful butterfly we will all hug and love next week. History is fun, right? Anyway, I’ve listed a few Austinites that will be making the trip up to Denton and you should reward them by checking them out.

Also, don’t forget to check out the unofficial schedules I’ve put together. I only have one unofficial show listed but if you know of any others, let me know!
