Fun Fun Fun Fest 6: The Aftermath and a Wedding

I made it home from Fun Fun Fun Fest by 2am this morning and had the luxury of a half day at work. However, when I arrived at the office this afternoon, I was greeted by blood spatters, panic, and my poor coworkers attempting to console my dog, Noodles, who apparently doesn’t like it when I’m gone for an entire weekend. I spent the afternoon catching up on work, trying not to internet diagnose my sick pup (who had already been to the vet that morning and diagnosed with an anxious tummy), and stretching out the aches I had from music festing for three days. Needless to say, I’m still too tired to recap the fest tonight but don’t worry, I will! Eventually!

In the meantime, please enjoy one of the most memorable music festival experiences I’ve ever witnessed – Stephen and Page’s FFF Wedding!

A short lesson on Twitter etiquette.

I doubt I will get back from Fun Fun Fun Fest before it is officially Monday so this is the last of my NaBloMoPo cheating. The ghost of Nina past Thursday is writing this for the ghost of Nina today. Actually, the ghost of Nina past Thursday is really lazy so here’s a quick video we made at the office this week. I wish you could see the peanut butter sandwich in my hand but I’m glad you can’t see the peanut butter sandwich in my teeth. Tweet responsibly.

The 30-Day Song Challenge: Day 14

Today is my last day at my current job. I need to finish cleaning out my desk and tying up loose ends. Then, I need to figure out which couches and hotels I’ll be sleeping at during my road trip. And, then maybe some celebration. We’ll see. Either way, I just wanted to note that I have less than nine hours sitting at this desk and I am more excited than sad or scared about this fact.

Day 14: A Song That No One Would Expect You to Love: Fall Out Boy “Grand Theft Autumn”

I think by admitting this publicly, I will lose any street cred I may have. In fact, I will go one embarrassing step further and admit that I will probably load this album on my iPod so I can sing along at the top of my lungs while heading westward next week. I hope you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me, internet.

The 30-Day Song Challenge: Day 13

Today is a casual day at work so I’m wearing cargo shorts and ate free hot dogs for lunch. I think now is a good time to cue this song:

Day 13: A Song That is a Guilty Pleasure: Justin Timberlake “My Love”

I blame Michael and Rachel getting married for this. I’ve mentioned them and their awesome wedding reception mixed CD gift before and this is a song that gets played a ridiculous amount of times when the CD is in my car. In fact, by the time I’ve finished writing this, I will probably have listened to this five times in a row. No, I was never an N’Sync fan but I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and you can’t deny MJ’s influence in JT’s work. And yes, I just shortened their names. Because I’m cool like that.

The 30-Day Song Challenge: Day 12

I’m tired. And I’ve got stuff to do. And you probably don’t want to mess with today’s 30-Day Song Challenge because it isn’t good at all.

Day 12: A Song From A Band You Hate: Jonas Brothers “Burnin’ Up”

I actually couldn’t pick out a Jonas Brothers song out of a Top 40 lineup but I googled “Jonas Brothers” and picked the first video not attached to the ad-ladened VEVO. I never understood boy bands when I was a teenage girl and I still don’t. I especially don’t understand the hype about the Jonas Brothers after I watched them twice on TV. You can’t blame the sound guy when the vocals suck. They aren’t even that cute, kiddos.
